Playing soccer with the boys

Just a little intro: Nicole (my sister-in-law) answers her door everyday at around 1:00pm to give a little treat to boys that are sent away from their families to learn the Koran but also spent the majority of their days begging. Many do not know their family and often do not return.
I brought a soccer ball and a basketball to Senegal in hopes of getting to play a bit and be involved in the kids' life. We told a few kids to come and 30 came
 The kids are coming!
We are playing on the street like kids do in Canada. The kids' feet are so tough as there is glass and thorns in the sand. They don't have shoes.
After the game we had cookies and water.
And if they already had a cookie and you offer another they will be so honest to tell you that they already had one.

At the farm: using the wood from they grow, this process will smolder the wood to create charcoal. This charcoal is sold for cooking purposes.
This is what you call eating together. Sharing lunch from a communal bowl.
 A view over the land.
Roadside: babies go along for the ride.
A village of houses with a fence surrounding the village.
